I joined VectorLearning in 2010 as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development. My role is one that you don’t find at many private companies: I am responsible for identifying, valuing, structuring, negotiating, conducting due diligence on, and managing the integration of acquisitions. This includes driving the development of the corporate strategy and identifying which vertical markets we will choose to participate in.
My most recent position prior to coming onboard at VectorLearning was head of Corporate Development and Financial Planning and Analysis at Tech Data Corporation, the second largest IT distributor in the world. I was responsible for identifying, structuring, and negotiating M&A transactions, as well as leading the team that consolidated Tech Data’s worldwide strategic plan and financial forecast. Previously, I spent seven years at Intuit Inc.–the developers of Quicken, QuickBooks, and TurboTax software. As Director of Corporate Development, I executed approximately 20 M&A transactions totaling nearly $1 billion.
Immediately before that I held a number of senior positions with General Electric, the most recent of which was Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at GE’s Long Term Care Insurance division.
I spent 11 years in the Washington, DC area, where I earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Investments and a Bachelor of Business Administration from The George Washington University.
I grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida… and thanks to a job opportunity for my wife, moved back to Florida from the San Francisco Bay Area in 2005. I now live in Tampa with my family, just minutes from the office. I enjoy exercising, boating, water-skiing, traveling, and as of late playing all sorts of card games with my daughter (who beats me more often than I’d like to admit).
