Matt Casey PhD - VP

I joined RedVector in 2011 as the Vice President of Content. I enjoy being part of the learning culture and working with the Content and Accreditations team each day to make our courses as engaging and educational as possible for our users.

My background includes more than 10 years of experience in training solution design, implementation and testing in a variety of business settings—including the development of training evaluation methods and training program management in both centralized and decentralized environments; technical communications management; instructional design program management; quality assurance and helpdesk management.

Before joining the RedVector team I served as Director of Learning for a leading Learning Management System (LMS) company, where I led professional services teams responsible for training creation and delivery, custom content development and online help. I have designed performance solutions in the areas of instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, online training, and blended learning. In addition, I have extensive experience evaluating the effectiveness of training solutions and I have developed an indirect training evaluation method called Problem-based Inquiry.

I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology focusing on Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Akron, as well as a Master’s degree in Technical Education and a Doctor of Philosophy in Curricular and Instructional Studies. I am currently a member of the American Society of Training and Development and a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Educational Foundations and Leadership at the University of Akron. In my free time I love being outdoors biking, walking and spending time with my family.
