She worked as a Post Doctoral Research Associate at Purdue University and is now a consulting engineer working mainly with finite element modeling applied to civil, environmental and mechanical engineering problems.

Dr. Aguirre is a highly analytical and widely-published computational heat transfer and fluid mechanics scientist with extensive research, teaching, and lecturing experience. She has already taught many introductory and advanced level courses in Finite Element Analysis for undergraduate and graduate engineering students. She is an expert in stochastic finite element analysis, computational heat transfer, fluid mechanics and contaminant transport modeling.
