Our authors come from various fields and include professors, practicing architects and engineers, and principals of large corporations. Refer to our Become an Author page if you are interested in becoming an author.

Once you have received a passing score on a course and fulfilled any time requirement associated with your license, a certificate of completion will be available to you from the My CEU Transcript or the My Certificates tabs via the RedVector LMS.

If you do not have access to your certificate of completion, check to make sure: (1) you have Acrobat Reader 4.0 or higher installed on your computer, (2) your payment has been processed successfully, (3) you have met the time requirement, if your licensing board has a time requirement, and (4) you have passed the test with the required passing score for your license.

There is no expiration on certificates.

From the My CEU Transcript or My Certificates tabs via the RedVector LMS, choose the license and renewal period. When your course list downloads, click on the certificate icon to the right of the course title. You will need Acrobat Reader 4.0 or higher to open the PDF file. You may print the certificate directly from your browser or save it to your computer.

PDH - Professional Development Unit (1 PDH = 1 Credit Hour); LU = Learning Unit (1 LU = 1 Credit Hour); CEU = Continuing Education Unit (1 CEU = 10 Credit Hours)

Your My Courses page in the RedVector LMS includes a list of all of your Courses. The status column displays three states: Not Attempted, Passed and Failed. There is also a column which displays Expiration date. You may sort your courses by status or expiration date by clicking on the column heading.

When you log in to the RedVector LMS, you will arrive on the My Account page. At the top of your screen, you will notice a line of tabs. The second tab from the left should be your My Courses tab. If you click on this tab, it will load a list of your Courses. Click on the Course title to enter the course. Click on the Begin Course button to launch Course.  View the Get Started videos for more details.

You will have access to your online course for 1-year from date of purchase.

In the RedVector LMS, most Course Lessons include a final exam. If you click on the Begin Exam button from your course launch page it will launch the online test. It will show you how many questions there are, what question you are currently answering, and what questions you have and have not answered. Most questions are multiple choice. You can save your answers and come back later. When you are done answering all questions you can grade your exam and receive your immediate results.

Yes. Most courses are available in an easy-to-print PDF format. When you click on a course title from your My Courses page in the RedVector LMS, it will list a PDF icon next to each lesson. If you click this icon, it will generate a PDF which you may then print directly from your browser, or which you may save to your computer.

For individual course purchases and at any time within 12 months of your purchase, if you are not satisfied with an online course and choose not to complete it, RedVector.com will exchange the course for another of equal or lesser value. If within 30 days of your purchase you are not satisfied with an online course and choose not to complete the course, RedVector.com will exchange the course for another of equal or lesser value or refund the cost of the course. If you complete an online course and your state licensing board does not accept it on the basis of course quality, RedVector.com will refund the cost of the course (upon proof of state board denial).

Some state licensing boards require you remain online the entire time to earn continuing education credit. Please check your state licensing board requirements (or visit our License Requirements summary page) to determine if this requirement applies to you. If your state licensing board does not require you remain online, you may print the PDF and test, read and answer them off-line, and then return to your My Courses tab to input your test answers and score the test.

Passing scores vary based on the license you hold. Below are some general guidelines:

• The Pass/Fail rate for all Engineer State Licenses is 70%
• The Pass/Fail rate for all Architect State Licenses is 70%
• The Pass/Fail rate for all AIA Memberships is 80%
• The Pass/Fail rate for most Land Surveyor State Licenses is 70%. *TX exception, see below.
• The Pass/Fail rate for all Landscape Architect State Licenses is 70%
• The Pass/Fail rate for all Interior Design State Licenses remains at 70%
• The Pass/Fail rate for most Contractor State Licenses is 70%. **FL exception, see below.
• The Pass/Fail rate for all Building Inspector State Licenses is 70%.

**Florida Electrical and Certified Contractors must pass their courses with a 75% as mandated by the Licensing Boards.

*Texas Land Surveyors must pass their approved courses with a 95% as mandated by the Licensing Board.

When you log in to the RedVector LMS, you will arrive at the My Account page. At the top of your screen, you will notice a line of tabs. The second tab from the left should be your My Courses tab. If you click on this tab, it will load a list of your Courses. Your Demonstration Course should also be listed here. Click on the Course title to begin.

From your My Account page in the RedVector LMS, click on the My Order History link. Click on an order number and print the page.

To place an order, follow these steps:

• Click on the Buy Courses button at the top of the page
• Search for Courses
• When you find a course you would like to purchase, click on the Buy Now Button
• Enter any Discount/Promo codes you may have and click the Apply button. If you do not have any, click on the Complete Checkout button
• If you are a Returning User, login. If you are a New User, click on the Create an Account button
• Fill out or verify your Account Information and click the Continue button
• Enter, edit or confirm your license/membership information and click the Continue button
• Enter your billing information and click the Continue button
• Verify your order information and click the Complete Checkout button

During the checkout process, you will be asked to enter credit card information. Once you reach the last step of the process and purchase your courses, your credit card will be charged.

RedVector.com is a VeriSign Secure website and our credit card transaction use SSL encryption.

Your Corporate Authorization Code was issued to you by your firm’s program manager, and will only need to be used when you set up your initial profile on www.redvector.com. Entering your Corporate Authorization Code will allow you to enroll in online courses in accordance with your firm’s education policies and Agreement with RedVector.com.

We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards.

When you log in to your account, if you have any block hours available, you will be asked to enroll in those hours at that time.

You can access our Privacy Policy by clicking on the Privacy Policy link at the bottom of each page on the web site.

You can create a new account by either (1) signing up for the free demonstration course or (2) buying an online course from the course catalog.

Under the log in area on the homepage, click on the link for Forgot My Password and follow the directions.

From your My Account page in the RedVector LMS under Quick Links, click on View/Edit My Profile.

Not all licensing boards and organizations require, or even want, us to report your completed continuing education hours. Many only ask for proof of completion if you are audited. We can only report to the boards and organizations when required to do so.

Special Note for FL Engineers: RedVector, as the provider, will report all completed Laws and Rules courses using the DBPR reporting tool and will report Areas of Practice courses completed after April 9, 2009. Areas of Practice courses completed prior to April 9, 2009 need to be reported to the FL DBPR by the licensee.

If you completed an online course with the passing score for your license and you spent the required time, RedVector reports to Florida state licensing boards on the schedule below.

In turn, after we report to the Boards, it takes them some time to post your hours on the web. If you can not find your hours posted at myfloridalicense.com, please check to make sure enough time has passed. Special Note for FL Engineers: RedVector, as the provider, will report completed Laws and Rules courses using the DBPR reporting tool and send attendance sheets for completed Areas of Practice courses. The licensed engineer will only need to self-report their Areas of Practice courses.

Yes. RedVector is an AIA/CES Registered Provider (#J315) and we report hours completed by AIA members (who supply us with their AIA Member Number) on a weekly schedule.

FL Engineers can take the same Laws & Rules course in different renewal periods (including back to back renewal periods). However, if you are delinquent, and need more than 4 hours of Laws & Rules, you cannot take more than 4 hours from the same provider.

If you are a dual licensed engineer and land surveyor in New York, you need 36 hours for your engineer license and 24 hours for your land surveyor license. Engineers can use land surveyor courses towards their requirement. Land surveyors cannot use engineer courses towards their requirement. However, any course taken for both licenses must be taken within the renewal period for each license.

New York licensees can only take 18 hours online for Engineers and 8 hours online for Land Surveyors.

Your security settings should be set at Medium. To check or change your setting in Internet Explorer:

1. Click on Tools, scroll down and click Internet Options.
2. Click the third tab at the top of the window named "Privacy".
3. Click on the slide bar and make sure that it is set to "Medium".
4. Click on the "Edit" or "Settings" button located at the bottom right hand corner (depending on what version of Explorer you have).
5. Click cursor on the "Address of Website" tab and then type in www.redvector.com Click on the "Allow" button so that the RedVector website says "Always Allow" in the Managed Website box.
6. Click "OK’ and then "OK" again. Shut down the internet browser completely and start the log-in process all over again.

RedVector can not guarantee our website or our online courses will display and work properly on a Mac and highly recommend using a PC.

The RedVector website and related courseware have been designed for the following browser versions.

Several of the online courses offered by RedVector have been designed using Macromedia Flash. To view these online courses, installation of the Flash Player plug-in will be required. Also, Adobe Acrobat Reader is a useful program, and is required to view several of the files throughout the RedVector web site.
