In this course in the CISSP series, we focus on designing networks and systems that meet the security criteria of your organization. In this, we learn security design principles engineering processes and security models. We also focus on the importance of evaluation models and their capabilities. You’ll learn about controls and countermeasures as well as memory protection, interfaces, and addressing security within virtualization.
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
• have a clear understanding of the CISSP objectives dealing with security design: 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4
• be familiar with important security design principles such as engineering processes, security models, multilevel models, and confidentiality and integrity
• be familiar with evaluation models and capabilities and will be able to evaluate the security of a system
• know how to apply controls and countermeasures that can be used in order to better protect systems such as memory protection, trusted platform module (TPM Chip), fault tolerance, the AAA moded, and the CIA model
• have the necessary skills to address security concerns introduced by virtualization and interfaces
