This course will begin by explaining the various types of finishes and furnishings as defined by the codes and then go on to describe the various finish and furniture standards and tests and their results. Afterwards, we will go over code requirements and sustainability and accessibility requires related to finishes and furniture. We will conclude this course by reviewing a checklist which will assist you with any project that requires finish and/or furniture selection.

• Explain how the location and use of a finish or piece of furniture can affect which tests they must pass.
• Explain the use of specific code tables that affect the selection of finishes and furniture.

• Present how accessibility requirements affect the selection and location of finishes and furniture.
• Show how sustainability is an integral part to finish and furniture selection.
• Identify various sustainability certificates and how sustainability is an integral part to finish and furniture selection.
