Mac and Linux are two very different and well-known operating systems. Mac OS is a layered operating system. The GUI sits on top of the UNIX core. You need to be well aware of the features of UNIX and the security features available in it. Linux is also built on UNIX. Unlike Mac, Linux OS is an open source software, and Linux security features are also similar to Mac OS. This course gives a thorough overview of the key features found in Mac and Linux operating systems; and, it discusses their similarities and differences as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each OS.
