Biography
As a Project Manager for an international Engineering Firm, Mr. Rose's primary responsibility is to guide a team of planners, engineers, CAD designers, landscape architects, and various subconsultants on municipal and private sector projects. With a B.S.E. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and 16 years of experience, Thomas has managed a wide range of development projects in multiple states. His storm water experience includes:
1) Review of municipal codes to ensure design and permitting compliance with various City, County, DOT, and WMDs for multiple states.
2) Evaluate large scale master storm water drainage basins and calculate Flood Elevations and flow patterns using a variety of software.
3) Design and permitting of Phase II NPDES storm water management systems including sites with discharges to 303 D Listed water bodies.
4) Institute Best Management Practices, Low Impact Design, LEED criteria, and Green Infrastructure design.
5) Investigate drainage and flooding issues for various sites including municipalities, residential subdivision, and commercial sites and provide engineering solutions to correct these issues.
Tom has performed peer reviews of drainage studies and hydraulic modeling in port of Federal Emergency Management Act (FEMA) flood mapping projects. Also, Mr. Rose participated in public forums to discuss storm water issues and new regulations with citizens, clients, and fellow engineers and environmentalists.
