As transit oriented development where people live, work and play becomes an increasingly popular concept towards developing sustainable urban design and with more than 150 cohousing communities currently in operation in the United States, can cohousing in combination with walkable communities and smart growth be the neighborhood of the future? This
1-hour webcast introduces the concept of cohousing and compares it with other modes of housing.
Urban Cohousing: Neighborhood of the Future is part of the RedVector Webcast Library. Each month, RedVector is proud to offer live online webinars - instructor lead training streamed over the internet. Each of these events is taught by a subject matter expert, and includes question and answer feedback with the students. Though not live, RedVector Webcast courses offer students the same opportunity to view these pre-recorded webinar courses at a time more suitable to their schedule. This webcast course is divided into video chapters, which contain shortened video segements (approximately 15 minutes) of the hour-long course. After each video segment are review activites which will help reinforce key concepts discussed by the instructor.
This course includes audio and video. Students must have speakers or headphones for their computer to complete the course.
