Biography
Cliff Black is the Market Development Program Manager for BASF Polyurethane Foam Enterprises LLC. A member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), his 30 years of broad technical experience in commercial and residential construction include: architectural systems, building sciences, building envelope technologies, and construction forensics.
Cliff maintains a significant focus on codes and standards development with the American Society for Testing and Materials International (ASTM), the International Code Council (ICC), and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). He serves as a member of ASTM C16 Thermal Insulation, D08 Roofing and Waterproofing, E05 Fire Standards, E06 Performance of Buildings, E33 Building and Environmental Acoustics, and E60 Sustainability Committees.
Cliff is actively involved with the Sustainable Buildings Industry Council (SBIC), the Building Enclosure Technology and Environment Council (BETEC), and the Building Enclosure Council (BEC). He brings architectural systems development experience from the gypsum industry where allied technology applications touched on acoustical, fire, and structural building sciences.
