In this course, we focus on asset classification. It's a very important process for the CISSP that focuses on properly classifying the assets so they can be properly secured and managed. In this course, we discuss classification models and information classification as well as asset ownership, data privacy, and asset collection.
When the student completes this course, he/she will be able to:
• Complete the requirements found in CISSP objectives 2.1, 2.2, and 2.3
• explain the various aspects of information classification, supporting assets, data sensitivity, and criticality
• determine asset and system ownership as well as the business and mission owners
• address data privacy and remnants along with the responsibilities of data owners and data processors
• detail data remnants and collection limitations
