RedVector author Mark Woolley’s career has spanned more than 30 years in the construction and real estate industry. He is a fifth-generation homebuilder. Positions he has held include Construction Manager, Operations Manager, General Manager, Director, Vice President of Construction and President. His responsibilities have ranged from land design, planning, acquisition & analysis, the entitlement process, product type & feature selection, human resources, corporate training, marketing & sales, purchasing, production, warranty, customer relations, construction forensic analysis & services to recognized industry expert. He is the founder, President and CEO of Buildtec Solutions, an education, training and support services advisory company in the built environment arena.
Mark is active in his community having served as the chair of the Economic Development Council, Citizens Task Force on HOA/PUD communities and as a member of the Planning Commission in South Jordan, Utah. He served on multiple local and state government affairs committees, is a past president of the Salt Lake Home Builders Association, and sits on its governing board as a life member. He spent a number of years as a board member of the Home Builders Association of Utah as well as being a past director for the National Association of Home Builders. His peers awarded him the Golden Hammer Award in 2003 and recognized him as the Builder of the Year in 2005 for his service in the building industry. Mark is a certified trainer with the University of Housing and is a frequent presenter and speaker at industry events. He holds the Master Certified Green Professional, Certified Graduate Builder, and Certified New Home Sales Professional designations with the National Association Home Builders.
He has been involved in leadership of youth groups in his community for the past 38 years, along with serving in community leadership capacities and volunteering for multiple charities and foundations.
