Part 46 of Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) regulations requires that mine operators and/or independent contractors provide no less than 4 hours of training to new miners before they enter a mine site. The training must address the hazards of working at a mine, as well as any hazards specific to the site. This ClickSafety online course can be used towards meeting these new miner training requirements.
MSHA 4-Hour New Miner Training, Part 1 (Site Entry) will provide the basics of staying safe and healthy around some common mine hazards, as well as other important information that all new miners should know, like miner’s rights and responsibilities, and the roles and responsibilities of supervisors and miner’s representatives.
Upon successful completion of the course, each student will receive a ClickSafety Certificate of Completion that will show the 0.4 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and 4 Contact Hours received for this IACET-approved course.
