According to Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) requirements, a miner must receive annual refresher training. Specifically, as stated in Section 46.8, a miner must receive 8 hours of health and safety refresher training, a minimum of every 12 months. The training must include instruction on changes at the mine that could adversely affect the miner’s health or safety. The refresher training must also address other health and safety subjects relevant to the mine.
ClickSafety’s MSHA 2017 Mine Safety and Health Refresher (8-Hour) course is designed in part to assist in meeting these training requirements, and is available for miners, supervisors, managers, mine operators, miners’ representatives, and subcontractors who require this annual refresher training as specified by MSHA.
Note: Mine Operators and Mine Contractors must update the annual refresher section of their MSHA Part 46 Training Plan to include ClickSafety before assigning this 8-Hour refresher course.
Upon successful completion of the course, each student will receive a ClickSafety Certificate of Completion showing the 0.8 continuing education unit (CEU) and 8 contact hours received from an IACET-accredited course provider.
