For each renewal, an electrical apprentice, electrical sign apprentice, journeyman electrician, master electrician, journeyman sign electrician, master sign electrician, residential wireman, journeyman lineman or maintenance electrician must complete four hours of continuing education. One of those hours must contain training on state law and rules that regulate the conduct of licensees. Part two of this course will fulfill that requirement.
The final portion of this course is designed to give you an overview of Article 690 Solar Photovoltaic Systems, and Article 705. For Article 690, the notable changes in the 2020 Code cycle, are:
• Refinement of the definition section.
• Reorganization of 690.9 on overcurrent protection.
• Refinement of Article 690.12, which deals with rapid shutdown. Clarification of system disconnecting
means.
• Reorganization of wiring methods for clarification.
• Changes in sizing of grounding conductors and alterations in the marketing requirements.
In Article 705, we'll be talking about the reorganization and removal of duplicative language. New
section Article 705.11 deals with supply side connections, 705.12 deals with load side source
