The 2020 National Electrical Code® (NEC) was published in the spring of 2019 and has already been adopted in four states. As of July 1, 2020, there were 18 states in the process of adopting it, and others won’t be far behind. Be certain that you’re prepared for the major changes that occurred in the 2020 edition of the code.

Ryan Jackson

NEC Consultant and Inspector

Ryan Jackson is a combination inspector in Salt Lake City, Utah. At the age of 23, Ryan landed his first job as an electrical inspector, and subsequently became certified in building, plumbing, and mechanical inspection, as well as building and electrical plan review. Two years after becoming an inspector, he was approached by a friend in the area asking him to fill in at an electrical seminar. After his first class he was hooked, and is now a highly sought-after instructor. Ryan has been involved in writing and editing over 25 books on the National Electrical Code, and has taught on the subject in colleges and universities across the country. He is self-employed as an NEC consultant and inspector.
