White Paper: Workplace Discrimination: Why Risk Management Training Must Play a Role in Protecting Your Company

What Constitutes Workplace Discrimination? Workplace discrimination refers to any inequitable treatment of an employee on the basis of prejudice. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission(EEOC) regulates and enforces the federal laws that prohibit many different types of employment discrimination. There are currently 11 categories of discrimination – though the ones we’re most familiar with revolve around the issues of race, gender, age and disability. In this white paper, we’ll look at the fundamentals of discrimination and the basic US laws that prohibit discrimination.
