Being a security professional is not just about setting up protection against malicious threats. You also need to establish best practices that protect your organization against violating the laws and regulations set by the government and software companies. This course on compliance and regulations covers these very important topics for the CISSP expert—compliance and regulation. As we talk about real-life experiences in the world of security, we will be looking at computer crimes and understanding what they are, licensing and what we have to do in security governance and security management related to licensing, import and export controls for international trade, data flow (particularly transborder data flow), and we'll be talking about privacy in this context again as well.
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
• Detail legislative and regulatory compliance issues
• Describe how to avoid computer crimes within the organization
• Explain what should be considered when addressing legislative compliance, regulatory compliance, and privacy requirements
• Describe various regulatory issues, computer crimes
• List what needs to be done in security governance and security management related to licensing, import and export controls for international trade, data flow (particularly transborder data flow), and privacy
