In our first course of the CISSP series, Introducing Security, we look at security concepts and governance. Security concepts cover CIA (Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability) as well as AAA, which is Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting. Under security governance, we look at security alignment, organizational processes, security roles, control frameworks, and then the sometimes complex topics of due care and due diligence.

• understand CISSP Objectives 1.1 and 1.2
• be able to apply the CIA triad and Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) in consideration of all security solutions
• understand how to incorporate security alignment, roles, and organizational processes to aid in creating and maintaining good security
