Efficient industrial centers require balanced consideration in both facility design and decisions concerning physical location. The goal of this 3-hour webinar is to describe how industrial/data center location plays an integral role in creating successful projects that support high reliability and promote sustainable design. While the most important factors may vary from site to site, in any given instance a single factor can undermine success of an otherwise superlative project. Availability is one of the most important deliverables of a successful data/industrial center and that means appropriate siting considerations/location which ensures minimalization of the external risk of disruption is paramount. This course discusses siting considerations including: power needs, electrical mix, weather patterns, building codes, location proximity to workforce and transportation, and other topics.
