Understanding how precast prestressed concrete is manufactured and used to create structures is important in today's construction, engineering and architectural market. This
2-hour interactive online course introduces the student to prestressed concrete and offers a basic background in design and applications. Standard prestressed concrete sizes and shapes are described and typical buildings using these members are discussed. The advantages of using prestressed concrete over other building systems are detailed. The student will be able to determine the applicability of this building system over competing methods of construction for a particular project.
This course includes a multiple choice quiz at the end.
