This course provides training on the safe and effective use of electrical testing instruments. Participants will learn the fundamental principles and proper procedures for operating voltage testers, multimeters, clamp meters, and megohmmeters. The course covers meter components, measurement principles based on Ohm's Law, and procedures for measuring voltage, current, resistance, and insulation values. Key topics include equipment setup, range selection, CAT ratings, troubleshooting techniques, and safety considerations. Emphasis is placed on proper inspection and maintenance practices to ensure accurate readings and safe operation. Upon completion, participants will understand how to select appropriate test equipment and perform electrical measurements safely and effectively in industrial and commercial environments.
