Human trafficking is a serious crime that can occur in workplaces and industries across the United States, including construction, manufacturing, and subcontracted labor. Traffickers often use force, fraud, or coercion to exploit vulnerable individuals, making trafficking difficult to identify. This course provides employees and supervisors with the knowledge needed to recognize the signs of human trafficking, understand reporting responsibilities, and respond appropriately to potential concerns. Participants will learn the differences between trafficking, smuggling, and labor violations, identify common workplace indicators, and explore key requirements under the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). By the end of this course, learners will be better prepared to identify potential trafficking situations and support efforts to prevent exploitation in the workplace.
