This course covers safety practices and operating guidelines for dozer operators who work on and around large outdoor bark and wood chip piles at pulp and paper mills. Through real-world scenarios and detailed instructions, learners will understand critical safety hazards, including pile stability risks, fire dangers, and safe mounting and dismounting procedures.
The course covers best practices for pile maintenance, access road building, and material handling, with special emphasis on preventing accidents and maintaining efficient operations. Additionally, learners will be advised of key components to examine during daily walkaround and post-operation inspections.
