Part One covers Sexual Harassment Prevention. This interactive online course is designed to help you gain a general knowledge of sexual harassment. Part two discusses the Family Medical Leave Act which allows employees take reasonable unpaid leave for certain family and medical reasons so they can attend to the needs of family while also balancing work responsibilities. The purpose of FMLA is to accommodate the needs of employers and employees while minimizing the potential for employment discrimination on the basis of gender, and promoting equal opportunity employment for men and women.

  • Discuss the steps that a company can take to prevent and address sexual harassment
  • Describe the provisions of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
  • Discuss FMLA leave options, including unpaid leave, using paid leave as FMLA leave, and using FMLA to cover overtime
  • Discuss employer and employee responsibilities before, during and after FMLA leave
