Explain what asbestos is and list the three most common names of asbestos types
Describe when asbestos is a health risk and possible illnesses that may result
Recall three common building asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) and define the terms non-friable ACM and friable ACM Describe your company’s responsibilities, related to asbestos
List the steps to follow if you suspect ACMs or presumed asbestos-containing materials (PACMs) and identify prohibited activities with ACMs
List the four classifications of asbestos work
Describe the additional health risk smokers have if they work with ACMs or PACMs and tips for smoking cessation to reduce the risk of work-related illnesses

Neil is a consummate safety professional with 26 years of experience in the HSE field. Neil has served as a site, divisional and corporate Health, Safety and Environmental Professional in the chemical, heavy manufacturing, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, facility maintenance and warehousing industries. Neil holds credentials as a Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional and Certified Hazardous Material Manager.
Neil presently serves as regional HSE director with primary duties that include CBRE Asset Service Locations as well as the Texas Baylor CBRE Facility Maintenance Health and Safety platform.
