Welcome to the course comparing the differences between projects managed in a traditional, predictive plan-driven approach and those managed in an agile approach. This course provides you with a basic overview of the philosophies behind each of them. While truly understanding and appreciating the full approach, methodology, best practices, and application of each demands more time and explanation, this overview comparing and contrasting each approach is the first step in better comprehending the methods, why they exist, and why they differ. This knowledge equips you to make better decisions regarding the methodologies and mindsets. Most importantly, having a decent grasp of the holistic constructs and objectives of the traditional and agile project management approaches will empower you to better appreciate and align with their intent. Working in tandem with the methodology is easier than working against or not fully aligned with the methodology. This course was designed to give you a strong foundation.
