This 3-hour online interactive course provides a basic overview of what is lost productivity and how to calculate damages resulting from it.  It provides an in-depth examination of the causes of lost productivity, such as scheduled overtime, increased crew size, overcrowding, stacking of trades, impacts to the learning curve, out-of-sequence work, adverse weather, unavailability of materials, tools and equipment, and project characteristics.  It also provides an explanation of the four basic methods most commonly used to calculate damages, such as the factor approach, the total cost/modified total cost method, the measured mile, and the actual cost method, and illustrations of how to perform each method of calculation. Included in the discussion are summaries of actual court cases to exemplify how labor productivity loss claims are determined.
