Open Channel Hydraulics III: Uniform Flow

This 2-hour interactive online course is the third of a RedVector.com series presenting the basic hydraulics of open channel flow, the field of engineering fluid mechanics encompassing free-surface discharge. This course explores uniform flow, a flow state introduced in the first course, but postponed computationally until we covered the fundamentals of energy and force balance. If you are unfamiliar with the concept and use of specific energy and specific force, you are two courses ahead of yourself. This course will refer to some of that content. Without the background, you should be able to do this course's calculations, but some explanation may miss you. Subsequent RedVector.com courses will progress to gradually varied profiles and a variety of applications. This course includes a multiple choice quiz at the end.
