These are all topics covered in this course. To start with, your company has a specific company harassment and violence prevention policy as it’s a legal requirement. In addition, the harassment program details how the policy is implemented and enforced in the workplace. A policy is no good if it is not upheld. After completing this course, you will be skilled to create a healthy workplace and address any concerns of harassment.
Course Objectives

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain harassment and violence legislation, including the Canada Labour Code and key provincial laws.
  • Define terms such as harassment, sexual harassment, psychological harassment, and workplace violence.
  • Identify a supervisor's legal duties, including the duty to act, report, document, maintain confidentiality, and prevent reprisal.
  • Describe proper complaint receiving and handling procedures, and understand the investigation process.
  • Describe compliance documentation requirements and how to prepare for an audit.
