AutoCAD® is the world's leading software and the global industry standard for producing technical drawings or computer aided design and drafting. This course presents hands on introduction to the AutoCAD® program and is the fifth in a series of courses on the 2014 release.

In Part 5 of our lecture series on AutoCAD® 2014 we shall cover layouts, layout templates, viewports, plotting, exporting, and at the end we shall have a practicum.

At the start of the course, you will be able to download the project files that the instructor is referencing. It is highly recommended that you download these files so you can follow along with the instructor as he leads you through the AutoCAD® software and its features.

Create and manipulate layouts
Create viewports for your drawings
Assemble a drawing file from numerous layouts and viewports
Set up your layouts for plotting
Export your layouts to other file formats

SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT: Kwabena Ofosu Ph.D., P.E., PTOE

Kwabena Ofosu currently serves as Community Development Engineer in Titusville, Florida. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Division of Engineering, Computer Programming and Technology, Valencia College in Orlando, Florida, where he teaches undergraduate courses in Statistics and Probability for Engineers, Engineering Mechanics, and computer applications for engineers. He earned his Bachelor’s degree with Honors in Civil Engineering from the University of Science and Technology, in Ghana. He earned his Master’s degree and PhD, both in Civil Engineering from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. His research areas include bridge engineering, transportation asset management, and artificial intelligence.
