What is retrocommissioning and how will it benefit your building? SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT: Mitch Chvilicek
Mitch is a Senior Commissioning Consultant at GBS with over 17 years experience in TAB (testing, adjusting and balancing) and commissioning. He has commissioned over 75 projects, both LEED and non-LEED, and is highly experienced serving as the lead commissioning consultant on a variety of project types, from large scale performing arts and convention centers to small school projects. Prior to joining GBS, Mitch was responsible for the operation of nuclear reactor and steam propulsion plants, and performed test and balance work for sensitive operations such as semiconductor manufacturing facilities. His in-depth knowledge of building mechanical systems and their component interactions provides keen insight to opportunities for optimizing system performance and energy efficiencies. Mitch has experience with many Building Automation System manufacturers for control of mechanical equipment, including Johnson Controls, Siemens, Alerton, Delta Controls, Automated Logic and others. He has extensive experience with design reviews, commissioning management, specification writing, test writing and execution, energy management and sustainable design.
