In this course, we will illustrate how moment distribution can be applied to the analysis of structures consisting of non-prismatic members. We will also explain the difference between the direct design method and the equivalent frame method, and list the properties of slam beams and columns. An example problem using the equivalent frame method will be demonstrated, as well as explanation of the benefits of computer analysis.
