When an operating system drive or hardware fails and your data is lost, how do you get it back? In this course in the Server Administration series, we take a closer look at server disaster recovery. In this, we discuss continuity operations, the different types of recovery sites, data replications, and backup methodology and media.
Upon completion of this course, the student will be proficient in the CompTIA objective: explain the importance of disaster recovery principles. The student will understand the importance of having a business continuity plan and the different ways that plan can be developed and implemented. The student will be more familiar with the different ways in which data can be lost and how to plan for data recovery. Ultimately, the student will know how and where to store the organization's important data in order to protect it from permanent loss.
