In this final course in the server administration series, we cover troubleshooting server problems. We not only discuss the various methodologies involved in troubleshooting both the hardware and software, but we also talk about the many errors you might face and why. From problems regarding software, to network, to storage, this course gives you the skill set you need in order to begin addressing whatever issues you might run into.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the student will better understand several of the CompTIA Server+ objectives: explain troubleshooting theory and methodologies; given a scenario, effectively troubleshoot hardware problems, selecting the appropriate tools and methods; given a scenario, effectively troubleshoot software problems, selecting the appropriate tools and methods; given a scenario, effectively diagnosed network problems, selecting the appropriate tools and methods; given a scenario, effectively troubleshoot storage problems, selecting the appropriate tool and methods; and, given a scenario, effectively diagnosed security issues, selecting the appropriate tools and methods. The student will know how to organize and structure the troubleshooting process and will be familiar with the many issues that can cause problems with the hardware, software, and network. Also, the student will be able to prevent and address security issues with which he/she may be confronted.
