This 1-hour online course describes the key tasks performed by reliability engineers. The course emphasizes the relationship of phases in the product life cycle to reliability analysis, the computation of reliabilities for simple systems, and methods that can be used to improve system reliability.

There will be a multiple-choice test at the end of this course.
Course Objectives

This course will describe the most important tasks faced in reliability analysis. At the conclusion of this course, you will:

  • Understand the definition of reliability
  • Understand the mortality 'bathtub curve', and its implications for reliability analysis
  • Compute system reliability for simple series and parallel systems
  • Understand the six key methods for increasing system reliability
