Recreation is a fundamental part of our humanity, allowing us to play, interact with others, and grow communities. As such, recreation facilities should be available and accessible to everyone. This section is a more recent addition to the ADA Standards, and seeks to include more people in recreational activities. Adherence to these standards allows more people with disabilities to participate fully in all aspects of daily life. This course will cover a variety of types of recreation facilities, exploring both scoping and technical requirements outlined in the 2010 ADA Standards.
