Sexual harassment is a constant presence in America's workplaces. To prevent harassment, we need to understand it. For many people, sexual harassment is an emotionally-charged topic loaded with confusion and uncertainty. This interactive online course is designed to provide a comprehensive explanation of what sexual harassment is, how it can occur in the workplace, current legal positions, and how management can maintain a harassment-free workplace. Some of the topics that will be covered in this course include: behaviors that constitute sexual harassment, the different types of harassment including abusive conduct, what constitutes a hostile work environment, and how to handle complaints. This course is meant to be taken for general anti-harassment training and does not discuss the standards and/or regulations of any specific state.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain the legal and other consequences of harassment
  • Describe your role and responsibility in creating a work environment free from harassment
  • Define your responsibility to respond effectively to complaints of harassment or retaliation

Jenni's diverse HR background has enabled her to bring an innovative, practical and fresh perspective to HR issues. Jenni also provides training and consulting to companies with minimal or no human resources within the organization. 

 

Jenni holds a master’s degree in HR Management and is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) through HR Certification Institute, and a Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) through SHRM.  Jenni is dual certified as an instructor and proctor of the National Restaurant Association’s ServSafe Food Safety training program.  She is active in a number of professional organizations including, HR Florida State Council, Greenville SHRM where she serves as Communications Director, and Society of Human Resources Management. Jenni continues to share her wealth of knowledge of HR as a frequent speaker at professional human resource meetings and conferences across the country.
