Course Objectives

  • Understand how the Oil Spill Liability Trust Fund is managed and used for oil pollution recovery.
  • Know the details of the financial responsibility obligations for vessels, offshore facilities and deepwater ports mandated by U.S. law.
  • Understand the litigation, jurisdiction, and venue specifications of The U.S. Code as they pertain to oil pollution.
