Risk management is one of the most important aspects of a CISSP professional’s job. This course explores the basics of risk management in order to gain an understanding of how risk analysis, risk quantification, and risk management is performed. In this course, we discuss risk management concepts, threat modeling, acquisitions and risk, and security training and analysis.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
 
• be more familiar with the CISSP objectives: 1.9, 1.10, 1.11, 1.12
• address threats and vulnerabilities, risk frameworks, assessment and assignment, and asset evaluation
• be familiar with identifying threats, diagramming attacks, reduction analysis, and threat remediation as well as resource acquisition, third-party assessments, minimum security requirements, and service level agreements
• have an understanding of content review along with security training and awareness and its importance in overall security governance
