Green Building - It’s not a fad and it will not go away. Yes, it’s good for the environment and ultimately results in a healthier house to live in, but, if a program is implemented effectively, it’s also good for the Remodeler’s bottom line. The Green Building and Remodeling market is going to grow, and ultimately it will be the only way to build. It’s the wave of the future.

Green Remodeling differs from Green Building. This 6-hour interactive online course provides a comprehensive treatment of the unique aspects of Green Remodeling with particular focus on building evaluation, deconstruction, handling of hazardous waste, materials recycling and reuse, energy conservation, indoor air quality, use of environmentally safe products, design principles, system planning and construction best practices. The course is presented in three sections with an exam at the end of each lesson. At the conclusion, there is an overview of personal and building certification programs and incentives available from government sources.
