Building design codes have come a long way since their first publications. New codes incorporating Sustainability and green design as well as the ADA codes and regulations have challenged designers to create structures that will have less impact on the environment while still reaching the necessary guidelines of accessibility. In this course we will discuss some of the more popular green rating systems as well as Sustainable Standards and Certification Programs available. We will also explain the purpose of life cycle assessments and define the Americans with Disabilities Act.
