Have you ever wondered what all the fuss is about concerning Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs)? This
interactive online course sheds light on what is rapidly becoming a hot trend in both commercial and residential building. ICFs are lightweight “building blocks” composed of polystyrene panels that are connected to each other with polypropylene cross ties. Once they are stacked and aligned, they are filled with concrete and steel reinforcement, creating homes and buildings that are strong, safe, energy efficient, clean, quiet and comfortable. ICFs contribute significantly toward the United States Green Building Councils “LEED” program, as well as the National Association of Home Builders “National Green Building Standard” for both residential and commercial structures. This course gives you an overview of the basics for building with ICFs.
