Part one of this course covers the Administrative Rules of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Title 16 Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 73, and the Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 1305. This content is a required component of the continuing education needed to renew your electrician license.
Part two of this course covers several of the most significant changes in the 2024 edition of NFPA 70E ®, with a focus on the most commonly used sections of the standard.
Part three of this course provides a focused review of the 2026 NEC changes related to overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, and grounding and bonding. It examines the types of overcurrent protective devices recognized by the Code, clarifies where such devices are permitted, and explains key concepts such as trip-free circuit breaker operation.
The final portion of this course examines key 2026 NEC requirements related to conductors and the general rules governing wiring methods. It reviews updates to Article 300 and explains how the Code regulates the installation, protection, and routing of electrical conductors and raceway systems.
