This course provides a focused review of 2026 National Electrical Code changes and requirements related to branch circuits, feeders, and services. Learners will examine how branch circuit design and installation support safe and compliant electrical systems through proper conductor identification, GFCI protection, ground-fault protection of equipment, receptacle placement, lighting requirements, and branch circuit applications in dwelling units, dormitories, electrical rooms, and systems exceeding 1,000 volts AC or 1,500 volts DC.
The course also covers feeder and service requirements, including how Article 215 and Article 225 work together to govern feeder installations and outside branch circuits, the rules for building disconnecting means, and key Article 230 service requirements. Topics include listed service equipment, minimum conductor sizing, line-side service conductor splicing, surge protection, meter sockets supplying fire pumps, dwelling service equipment, and equipment permitted on the supply side of service disconnects.
By the end of the course, learners will be prepared to interpret and apply updated 2026 NEC branch circuit, feeder, and service requirements in real-world electrical installations.
